Data privacy is a growing concern for parents.  CoSN’s 2015 IT Leadership Survey of national school district technology leaders found that 57% agreed that privacy and security issues are more important than they were the previous year. Learn about new efforts to change the conversation with increased transparency with the goal of building more trust.  One key initiative is the Student Data Principles which over 40 national education professional associations have signed on which outline ten principles for why we collect data, as well as how we protect it.  Also, CoSN is working with nearly 30 school districts to build a Trusted Learning Environment seal.  Join us for an engaging conversation.
